The Contact Note Android App
allows you send Customer Contact notes into Repweb
directly from your mobile phone or tablet - even when you do not have network coverage; it
queues the contact notes and transmits them when you next have a network connection.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The app is hosted on the Lady Lodge Systems Repweb server and not on the Google Market/Play Store (there's no point in making this app available to the whole world as it's useless without a valid Key and Repweb account). This means that to install the app, you will have to change your Android settings to allow installation of apps from 'Unknown Sources' as shown below.
Once installed, you can turn this off if you want to (although most people don't bother).
Note: Newer versions of Android will detect that this is an app and offer to install it for you. Older versions will leave the file in the download section (pull down your notification bar and you should see it there) and you have to 'click' on the "TRACT Contact.apk" file to install it.
The app does not automatically install a shortcut on your launchers home screen. This practise is regarded as being rude and arrogant in Android developers circles; you should choose what apps are on your launchers screens. Having said that, when you first enter your key, the app will ask you if you'd like it to install a shortcut for you. Even if you say no, you can install a shortcut later by dragging the icon from the app draw to your home screen.
When you first run the app, it will ask you to enter your key. This key identifies
you to the system and you can find it at the bottom of your
Repweb
Dashboard page. Your key should remain unchanged while you're a valid
Repweb user.
It's worth noting that you can install the app on as many devices as you wish (phone, tablet, Google glasses etc) and use the same key. The key merely serves to uniquely identify you to the system. |

Once you've entered your key and it's been validated, you will be able to download a list of your allocated customers (a special button is provided for the first time around, after that use the "Refresh Customer List" menu option within the app). |

With a valid key and list of customers, you can select a customer by entering part of their code or name in the search box. A popup list of matching customers will be shown; select one of them. |

Having selected the customer, a text area will appear for you to enter the Contact Note. |

When you've finished entering the Contact Note
simply press the "Submit Contact Note" button to send your Contact Note or press the "Send as Reminder" button
to select a reminder date and save the note as a "Contact Request" that will show up in your
Dashboard on Repweb.
If you're offline, the Contact Note/Reminder will be put in the queue for transmission the next time you have an Internet connection. |

Whenever you wish, you can refresh your Customer list by using the ""Refresh Customer List" menu option within the App. New Customers will obviously not be available on your Android device until you do this; so it's worthwhile doing it every so often (the App shows you at the top of the screen when the Customer List was last downloaded).
